Mateus Evangelho ~ at Listowel Memorial Hospital on Thursday, November 7, 2013, Mr. Mateus Goncalves Evangelho of Listowel, in his 77th year.

Beloved husband of Rita (Da Silva) Evangelho. Dear father of Gilbert and Carla Evangelho of Georgetown, and Andrea and Andrew Gottfried of Ilderton. Grandfather of Natalie and Nicholas Evangelho, and Easton and Ryder Gottfried.

Brother of Maria and Manuel Azvedo, and Conceicao Nunes, all of Terceira, Azores. Son-in-law of Rita Da Silva of Listowel, and brother-in-law of Connie Evangelho-Bray and Dave Bray of Listowel, Manuel and Maria Da Silva of Arthur, Rosa and Antonio Pires of Terceira, Azores, Gabriella and John Ventura of Listowel, John Da Silva of Listowel, and Lucy and Dave Diniz of Windham Centre.

Predeceased by his parents Mateus and Maria (Machado) Evangelho, sister Ilda Rocha, brother Jose Evangelho, father-in-law Manuel Da Silva, and brother-in-law Antonio Da Silva.

Visitation will be held at the Eaton Funeral Home, Listowel on Sunday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m., with parish prayers at 1:30 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church, Listowel, on Monday, November 11th at 10:30 a.m.

Interment in Fairview Cemetery, Listowel.

Memorial donations to London Health Sciences Foundation, Heart and Stroke Foundation, or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
