At Listowel Memorial Hospital on Friday, March 17, 2006, Mrs. Shirley Marie (Wood) Askett of Listowel, in her 70th year. Beloved wife of Ronald Askett. Dear mother of Brenda and Don Templeman, Virginia and Bruce Dunbar, and David and Brenda Askett, all of Listowel. Grandmother of Christopher and Laura Templeman, Carrie-Jane Templeman, Krystine Kammermeier, Jeffrey Askett, Michael, Steven, and Kelsey Dunbar, and Nathaniel, Joshua, and Matthew Askett. Sister of Eileen and George Gill of Ethel, Ruthann and Lloyd Siemon of Bornholm, Bruce and Jeanette Wood of Campbell River, B.C., and Bev and Stan Bentley of Cranbrook.
Predeceased by her daughter Judy Kammermeier, son Thomas Askett, son Douglas in infancy, and sister Lillian McNaughton.
Visitation will be held at the Robert Trench Funeral Home, Listowel on Tuesday, 2:00-4:00 and 7:00-9:00 p.m. Funeral service will be held at First Baptist Church, Listowel on Wednesday, March 22nd at 11:00 a.m. Reverend Bob Lewis officiating.
Interment in Palmerston Cemetery. Memorial donations to Listowel Memorial Hospital Foundation or Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
