Dear father of Chantile and Christopher Taplay of Listowel, Delton and Roslyn Zehr of Stayner, and Robert and Janelle Zehr of Arizona, and father-in-law of Bill Cousins of Australia. Grandfather of Thomas, Laura, Harrison, and Gregory Taplay, Felicity and Kyle Zehr, and Jenna Zehr. Son of Fern (Brenneman) Zehr of Listowel. Brother of Joanne and Don Matthews of Harriston, Jim and Janet Zehr of Illinois, Doug and Miriam Zehr of Indiana, Kathy and Dan Carter of R.R. 1, Newton, and Fred and Cheryl Zehr of Shakespeare.
Predeceased by his daughter Lisa Cousins, his grandson Lucas Cousins, and his father Delton Zehr.

Visitation will be held at the Eaton Funeral Home, Listowel on Saturday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, Kurtzville on Sunday, May 4th, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. with interment in the church cemetery. Reverend Kurt Reinhardt officiating.
