Betty Elg ~ at Listowel Memorial Hospital on Monday, May 26, 2014, Mrs. Betty Jane (Payne) Elg of Listowel, in her 82nd year.
Beloved wife of Ken Elg. Mother of Jean and Bruce Alexander of Listowel, Bill and Sherry Elg of Elmira, and Gail Peppler of Harriston.
Grandmother of Mike and Cheryl Alexander of Listowel, Sarah Alexander and Nate Smith, and Matt Alexander and Crystal Orth, all of Atwood, Tyler Elg, and Josie Elg, both of Elmira, and Steven Peppler and Aimee Bristowe, and Samantha Peppler and Donald Cudney, all of Harriston.
Great-grandmother of Kaden, Owen, Emma, Wynter, Autumn, Nevada, Natalie, Skylar, Alyssa, Sofia, and Shayne.
Sister of Jean and Bill Williams of Monkland. She will be remembered by Ken's brothers and sisters, and by her many nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by her parents L.W. and Pearl (Oke) Payne, sisters Eleshia Hicks, Grace Fraser, Delia Rose, Leona Schunck, and by her brothers George Payne and Warner Payne.
Visitation will be held at the Eaton Funeral Home, Listowel on Thursday and 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. where the funeral service will be held on Friday, May 30th at 1:30 p.m., with Rev. Robert Adams officiating.
Interment in Fairview Cemetery, Listowel.
Memorial donations to Canadian Diabetes Association, Canadian Cancer Society, or the Listowel Memorial Hospital Foundation would be appreciated.
