Alvin Jack ~ At Knollcrest Lodge, Milverton, on Monday, December 8, 2014, Mr. Alvin Campbell Jack, formerly of Listowel, at the age of 100.

Beloved husband of the late Eva (Mason) Jack. Dear father of Faye McGreal of Hamilton, and Roy and Sheila Jack of Cambridge. Grandfather of Stephen and Sandy McGreal of Binbrook, Todd and Laura McGreal of Caledonia, Susan and Ed Murdoch of Oakville, and Julie and Matt McLennan of Glen Morris, and great-grandfather of Austin McGreal, Dillon McGreal, Spencer McGreal, Logan Murdoch, Cole Murdoch, and Sierra Murdoch. Remembered also by his friend Ruth Jedrzejewski and her family.

Predeceased by his son-in-law Alex McGreal.

Alvin served in the navy during World War 2, and was the eldest member of the Listowel Legion. He was also a member of I.B.E.W. Local 804, Kitchener (electrical union), and the Clifford Masonic Lodge.

A Celebration of Alvin’s long and well-lived life, and a Legion Memorial Service, will be held at the Eaton Funeral Home, Listowel on Monday, December 15th at 11:00 a.m. Visitation one hour prior, and reception at the Listowel Legion will follow.

Memorial donations to Listowel Memorial Hospital Foundation would be appreciated.
