Obituary for Warren Cleland
Warren Cleland ~ Of London, at London Health Sciences Centre, on Saturday, October 24, 2015, Mr. Thomas Warren Cleland, in his 82nd year.
He is survived by Helene (Wettlaufer), his wife of 57 years, his children Sandra (Bob) Emery of Kitchener, Mark (Robin) Cleland of London, Donna (Fransjan) Cleland of the Netherlands, Anne Cleland of London, and Kent (Wanda) Cleland of Stratford, and his nine grandchildren.
Predeceased by his parents Thomas and Mabel (Richmond) Cleland, his parents-in-law Gilbert and Emma (Krug) Wettlaufer, his sister Ruth Cleland, and his brother Donald Cleland.
Tom (Warren to his family) was born March 26, 1934 in Listowel, Ontario. He grew up in a loving family in Elma Township, attending Brock School and Listowel High School. His work life included positions with the Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce, the City of London, the Stratford District Co-op for 25 years, and Ideal Supply. Retiring in 1997, he pursued his interests in bird watching, gardening, stargazing, and hiking. He was a devoted Day-1 Toronto Blue Jays fan.
Visitation will be held at Westmount Presbyterian Church, in the library, 521 Village Green Ave., London on Tuesday, October 27th from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m., and at the Eaton Funeral Home, Listowel on Wednesday, October 28th from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 12:00 p.m. Following interment in Elma Centre Cemetery, Atwood, the reception will be held at the Eaton Funeral Home.
Memorial donations to War Amps would be appreciated.
