Norrie Donaldson ~ After a brief and courageous fight, Norrie passed away surrounded by his loving family on March 22nd at the age of 71. Norrie leaves behind his loving wife Lynda of 45 years and daughters Christina Cefaloni, Becky McGregor, Katey Rayner and Darlene Moore and sons (in law) Derek, Stu and Alistair. Affectionate and fun-loving Grandpa of Marissa, Julia, Will, Ellie, Cameron, Jordan and Charlotte. He was a grandpa dedicated to endless play, singing and imagination. He is survived by sisters Heather, Sandra and Lyn and predeceased by his parents John and Maisie, siblings Norma, Lee, Ian and baby Sheila. Loved by many nieces, nephews and friends. Norrie worked in many trades, always striving to be a part of the next big thing in his beloved city. A Celebration of Norrie's Life will be held at the Prescott Hotel, 379 Preston Street, Monday, March 28th beginning at 5-9pm. Come and share your stories and some laughs. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, March 29th at 11 am at The Metropolitan Bible Church at 2176 Prince of Wales Drive. A memorial fund has been opened in his name to support the things Norrie cared about most: the chance for underprivileged children to play sports (Right to Play), to help families in crisis (Serenity Renewal for Families) and towards the Terry Fox Foundation.
