Condolence: Dear Lynda and Family: We are saddened at the news of Norrie's passing. We remember with fondness our shared times as teenagers in Ottawa, enjoying the Saturday Night Dances at St. James and Spedazzo, enjoying late-night eats at the Royal Burger and lazy summer afternoons at Mooney's Bay. In keeping with his larger-than-life presence in the lives of his friends in 1960s Ottawa, it is obvious that he continued in a similar vein in the lives of his family. Our heartfelt condolences on the loss of a wonderful life's companion, a loved and loving father, an "endless play" Grandpa, a great son and brother, and an exceptionally community-minded citizen of Ottawa. Condolence: We didn't know Norrie, but regularly heard wonderful stories from Sean and Wendy. Norrie's influence on Sean and his family is clear — the spirit of kindness, generosity and support for our fellow human beings lives on. Our condolences to your family.

Condolence: It was with great sadness that I heard of Mr. Donaldson's passing. I will never forget the incredible kindness and generosity he showed me as a young hockey fan. Growing up in a Polish immigrant family, there weren't exactly an abundance of hockey fans in the house. Going to games also wasn't really a thing we'd consider doing. But Mr. Donaldson took it upon himself to take me to see the Sens play on a regular basis. I will always think fondly of our conversations on the way to games, the delicious hot chocolates he bought me, and our debates about why he really should like the Senators more than the Red Wings. He will always and forever hold a place in my heart. If I ever have the opportunity to do for someone else what Mr. Donaldson did for me, it will be because of him. Thank you for the life you shared and rest in peace.

Condolence: To Norrie's wife and family. I will always remember Norrie from my early life living on Holmwood and fourth Avenues. We went to First Avenue public school together and spent many hours playing sports on the Exhibition grounds at the corner of Fifth and O’connor. That area of the Glebe had many characters in those days and Norrie was always front and centre of the group. My prayers are with the family at this time.

Condolence: Lynda my heart goes out to you and your family. There are no words that can express the feelings I have for you and the kids at this difficult time. Norrie was a great man and a great friend!

Condolence: Lynda and family. It has been a very long time since we last saw you and Norrie. And yet both Ted and I feel a very deep sense of loss at his passing. Our deepest sympathy goes out to all of you. Norrie was our friend from a very early age and was the kind of person we were proud to call friend throughout our lives.

Condolence: To Norrie's family, We will always remember Norm for being a jolly old fella that loved his kids and grandkids more than words could ever say. He was one of the nicest, kindest and generous men that I ever met. On March 22, the Donaldson's and the world suffered a great loss but heaven gained an angel. The fella above must have needed someone to help him with something or perhaps he needed a santa claus. We know Norm was the glue but you will all be ok because his presence will be forever upon you guys, he wouldn't have it any other way. We will all miss him.

Condolence: To Norrie's wife and family. Your husband and dad was one of my earliest and oldest of friends from the Glebe. I have many happy memories from Little League and Babe Ruth baseball to working the souvenir stands at the Ottawa ex, to pints at the Prescott and old boy reunions. Norrie was one of a kind, and will be missed.

Condolence: Dear Lyn and family I have so admired you, Lyn and Norrie, for the kindness and devotion you gave my students, Darlene and Linda. I had the honour and privilege of spending valuable time with Norrie and Skip at a Glashan reunion recently, and I am thankful for that. My heart is with you. Norrie was an exceptional guy, and that was only enhanced by your place in his life, Lyn. Love you.

Condolence: I will always remember the summer where Norrie gave me a job working at the airport golf land and the ex.
