Ruby Burgers ~ At Listowel Memorial Hospital on Friday, November 18, 2016, Mrs. Ruby Janette (Sanderson) Burgers of Listowel, in her 82nd year.

Beloved wife of the late George Burgers.

Dear mother of Marion and Bill Redpath of Wellington North, Edward and Heather Burgers of Wingham, Mark and Laura Burgers of Atwood, and Paul Burgers of Guelph.

Sorely missed by her many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Predeceased by her parents Roy and Maggie (Ash) Sanderson, parents-in-law Arthur and Marie Burgers, siblings Gordon Sanderson, Cecil (Laura) Sanderson, William Sanderson, Margaret Edgar, and Hazel (Howard) Ryan, and by her brother-in-law A.J. Burgers.

Ruby always had a positive outlook on life. One of her favourite expressions was, "If life gives you lemons, you make lemonade". She loved gardening, traveling, and spending time with her family.

Visitation will be held at the Eaton Funeral Home, Listowel on Monday, November 21st from 10:00 a.m. until time of the funeral service at 11:30 a.m. Rev. Jeff McCracken officaiting.

Following interment in Fairview Cemetery, Listowel, the celebration of Ruby’s life will continue at the Listowel Kin Station from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m.

Memorial donations to St. Mary’s Regional Cardiac Centre, Kitchener would be appreciated.
