Lawson Ward ~ Peacefully at Listowel Memorial Hospital on Saturday, December 5, 2009, Mr. Lawson Graham Ward of Listowel, and formerly of Grey Township, in his 89th year. Beloved husband of Muriel (Heibein) Ward for 66 years. Loving father of Larry Ward of R.R. 1, Ethel, Gerald and Ann Ward of St. Marys, Kathy and Rick Nieman of Kitchener, and Connie and Marvin Gibbings of Listowel. Proud grandfather of Leslie, Kim, Tony and Trish, Sheri, Jeff and Lisa, Julie and Jay, Jennifer and Gary, Matthew, Stacey and Andrew, and Nicole and Chad. Proud great-grandfather of Jamie, Page, Luke, Kendal, Ashton, Brooklyn, Lucas, Mackenzie, Shelby, Carter, Maddie, Jocelynn, Leah, and Cameron. Dear brother of Lycille Wood of Wingham, and Hilton and Jane Ward of Listowel, and brother-in-law of Rene Ward of Waterloo, Pearl Heibein of Listowel, Nellie Hamel of Ilderton, Clayton Heibein of Thamesford, and Jean and Bob Coulter of Listowel. Predeceased by his parents Percy and Ruby (Hird) Ward, his sons Brian and Keith, his grandsons Joseph and Tim, his daughters-in-law Deanna and Barbara, his brothers Ray, Leonard, and Murray, and his sisters Phyllis McTaggart and Faye McMillan.
Visitation will be held at the Eaton Funeral Home, Listowel on Monday, 2:00-4:00 and 7:00-9:00 p.m. where the funeral service will be held on Tuesday, December 8th at 11:00 a.m. Interment in Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Ethel.
