Hartley August Fischer, of Listowel, passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 24, 2018 in his 92nd year. Hartley was born on May 1, 1927 to parents Sarah and Jacob Fischer. Hartley married Mary (Wilton) on November 2, 1946 in Brussels, Ontario. Mary predeceased Hartley on November 5, 2004.
Dear father of Murray and Connie of Campbellford, Don and Mary of Point Clark, Rae and Nancy of Listowel, Mary Anne and Brian Denney of Collingwood, and Nancy and John Whitty of Bracebridge.
Sadly missed by grandchildren Julie and Kevin, Tyler and Ashley, David, Johanna and Bryan, Laurie, Steven, Shannon and Chris, Jason and Shandi, Matthew and Amy, Martha and Ryan, Sarah and Joe, Karen and Theo, Janet and Phil, Michelle and Will, Rachel and Cary, and Scott, and great-grandchildren Jakob, Elijah, Kaya, Lily, Gabriel, Annabel, Alexandra, Joshua, Emma, Brielle, Ty, Owen, Grace, Amelia, Cruz, Layla, Jackson, Duncan, Rene, Isla, Elizabeth, Clara, Zachary, Oswald, Francis, Mia, Tate, Wynn, and Eloise.
Predeceased by his beloved wife Mary, daughter-in-law Jeanne, grandson Jeffrey, grandson-in-law Steve, great-granddaughter Edie, step-granddaughter Shelley, brother Stanley and his wife Della, sister Mae Thomas and her husband Bernard, sister Verla Hastings and her husband William, and brother Eugene.
Visitation will be held at Eaton Funeral Home, Listowel on Wednesday from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Funeral service will be held at Knox Presbyterian Church, Listowel, on Thursday, June 28, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. Interment in Brussels Cemetery. Memorial donations to Knox Presbyterian Church, Listowel would be appreciated.
