Condolence: You have our deepest condolences. I didn't take the opportunity to really get to know Glenn when we were kids, but I always respected his intelligent and passion for butterflies. You are all in my thoughts and prayers.

Condolence From: The Toronto-Calcutta Foundation
Condolence: Glenn was a very humble man even though he had lots of technical knowledge about websites and his excellent work on documenting butterflies in Ontario. Over the years The Toronto-Calcutta Foundation (TCF), a charity, got lots of help from him for its website. TCF membership will remember this and will deeply miss him. TCF hopes that his soul rests in peace.

Condolence From: Dr Christine Furedy
Condolence: Glenn was the web guru for me and my husband Professor John Furedy for over twenty years, and he became a valued friend. We appreciated his sharp intelligence and careful web work. He set up our web pages and updated them and often advised on computer problems. When John died in 2016, Glenn set up a Wikipedia entry for him; it was a work in progress, slowed by Glenn’s increasing illness. That Glenn did this even as his health deteriorated meant a great deal to me. Glenn had an acute political sense and we appreciated his comments on current affairs. He spoke strongly on freedom of speech and honesty in politics. We enjoyed his sense of humour. From him, I learnt about Ontario’s butterflies. He was a skilled photographer. He loved cats and remembered his very first cat, Missy. Glenn was sometimes misunderstood in workplaces because he did not ‘conform’ to politically ‘correct’ strictures, but he was a gentle, kind, well-meaning person, who frankly said what he meant without fear. Our society needs more people like Glenn Richardson. I will miss him greatly. Dr Christine Furedy, D. Phil.

Condolence: This is what I remember of Glenn. Some of us thought him odd in high school, partly because of his passion for butterflies. And then, in Grade 13 (at least for me), the group of students was small and I got to spend a lot of time around him. It was the first time that I learned I was not always a great judge of people. It would not be the last but I would always go back to the lesson I learned from Glenn. He destroyed my impressions of stereotypical high school judgments of people. He was very funny, very clever, and very engaging. I'll never forget getting to know him in G13 rather than knowing of him.

Condolence: I just heard about this on a choir trip here in the UK. I have mostly known Glenn through choir work and his love of music. I know that he will be very much missed in that regard, and I do extend sincere condolences to his family.
