Donelda Herrfort ~ passed away peacefully at the Listowel Memorial Hospital, surrounded by the love of her family, Donelda Isabella Mae (Darroch) Herrfort, on Monday, December 31, 2018, at the age of 71.
Beloved wife of 53 years to John James Herrfort of Listowel.
Treasured Mother to Sandy (Garry) Woodcock of Ayton, Brenda Williams of Listowel, Ernie (Deb) Herrfort of Fordwich, and Kerri (Rolf) Schuttel of Harriston, and mother-in-law to Bill Williams of Listowel.
Adored Grandma, more affectionately known as “G”, to Melissa (Nick) Scheible, Sarah (Mirek) Blazek, Kayla Knight (Lee Gibson), Lauren (Luke) Lovell, Shane (Sam McKenzie), David, Rachael and Brianna Williams, Shanice (Terry Smith) and Joey Herrfort, Nathan, Simon and Cade Schuttel.
Great Grandma to Rowan and Grady Scheible, Laila and Madilynne Blazek, Caedon and Keian Morrison, Carter Gibson, Wyatt Lovell, and Mia and Jaxon Smith.
Dear sister and sister-in-law of Jack (Margaret) Darroch, Donna Rudow, Barbara (Robert) Mitchell, Alvin Darroch, Raymond (Connie) Darroch, Sheila (Albert) Subject, Cathy (David) Smith, Bonnie (Fred) Wocks, Roxanne (Greg) Bowman, Phylis (Ted) Smith, Diane Darroch, Douglas Gowing, and Albert Hertiess.
Predeceased by her parents John and Norma (Fischer) Darroch, mother-in-law and father-in-law Mary and Joseph Zehr, brother Gordon Darroch, sisters Shirley Darroch, Eleanora Larson, Shally Ernest, and Lynda Gowing, and brothers-in-law Ron Rudow, Roy Preiss and Robert Kuntz, and sister-in-laws Marion Hertiess, and Mabel Preiss.
Donelda will be fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
The funeral service will be held Eaton Funeral Home, Listowel, on Friday, January 4, 2019 at 11:00 a.m., followed by interment at Fairview Cemetery, Listowel. Captain Wendy Johnstone officiating.
A Celebration of her life will follow at the funeral home from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m.
Memorial donations can be made to the Listowel Salvation Army, or to the Listowel Memorial Hospital where she received incredible care in her final days of her life.
