Marion O'Grady ~ Surrounded by the love of her children, on Sunday, March 17, 2019, Mrs. Marion Regina (Costello) O'Grady of Listowel, passed away at Knollcrest Lodge, Milverton, in her 91st year.

Beloved wife of the late Jerome O’Grady (2010).

Loving mother of Dan O’Grady of R.R.3, Listowel, Rosemary and Tim Pugh of Milverton, Christine and Dave Meadows of R.R.2, Stratford , and Sharon O’Grady and Iain Mailloux of R.R.#7 St. Mary's

Cherished grandma of Nicole Bonsma and Jake Caesar, Ashley Pugh, Luke and Jacob Meadows, and Kenya, Isabelle, and Georgia Mailloux.

Sister and best friend of Evelyn Goetz of Mount Forest . Sister-in-law of Luella O’Grady of Mitchell.

Marion was predeceased by her brother Wilford and several brothers and sisters-in-law.

Marion was born in Arthur Township in 1928. She moved to Bracebridge for high school, and then began her career as a Bell Telephone operator. She continued this work in Guelph, at which time she met the handsome bachelor Jerome at the Hesson Garden Party. They married in 1965. Marion fully embraced life on the farm with him at R.R.#3 Listowel where they raised their children. Marion loved the outdoors. She loved gardening as well as many recreational activities in every season. She was a skilled quilter, both on her own and with a local community of friends. She enjoyed travelling and embraced opportunities and adventures as they came her way. Marion was truly committed to her faith throughout her entire life. She was a member of St. Mary’s Parish in Hesson for most of her life where she served in many capacities. She was a member of the CWL for over 60 years. Her greatest joy was her family, and she treasured a multitude of memories from the McNabb cottage on Lake Muskoka. Marion will always be remembered as a truly remarkable person.

Visitation will be held at the Eaton Funeral Home, Listowel on Tuesday from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. with prayers at 4:30 p.m.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Joseph 's Roman Catholic Church, Listowel, on Wednesday, March 20th at 11:00 a.m. Visitation at the church one hour prior to the service.

Spring interment in St. Mary's Catholic Church Cemetery , Hesson.

Memorial donations to the Alzheimer’s Society or St. Joseph’s Building Fund, would be appreciated.
