Johannes 'John'  Zuidema
John Zuidema ~ passed away suddenly at his home, on Tuesday, October 19, 2010, Mr. Johannes 'John' Zuidema of R.R. 1, Listowel, in his 52nd year. Beloved and devoted husband of Marja Zuidema. Loving father of Rianne Agasucci and her husband Anthony of Kitchener, Janita Scheurwater and her husband Michael of Teeswater, Esther Sundercock and her husband Nathan of Listowel, Selma, Jasper, Sander, and Jelmer Zuidema, all at home, and cherished grandpa of Aaron Agasucci. Son of Klaas and the late Janke Zuidema of Kollum, Holland. Brother of Jan and Aaltje Zuidema of Hoorn, Holland, Marten and Hanna Zuidema, and Dirk and Klaske Zuidema, all of Kollumerpomp, Holland, and Ria Zuidema of Kollum, Holland. Son-in-law of Martje Knol-Bomers of Ulrum, Holland, and brother-in-law of Alie Knol, and Ineke Knol and Eelke Kampen, all of Groningen, Holland, and Hennie and Piet Tjoelker of Surhuisterveen, Holland, Ida and Jitse Wieringa of Tolbert, Holland, Tonny and Tineke Knol, and Johannes and Greet Knol, all of Ulrum, Holland, Dedde-Jan Knol of Zuidlaren, Holland, and Andrea and Eric Hoekzema of Uithuizermeden, Holland.
Also remembered by his uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces, and nephews in Holland, and by his cousins in Canada, John and Anne De Vries of Elmira.

Farming was one of John’s greatest joys. He was a member of First Baptist Church, Listowel, where he served faithfully as a deacon for many years, and was involved in many other activities including the Awana kids club as a leader.

Visitation will be held at the First Baptist Church, Listowel, on Sunday from 2:00-4:00 p.m. and 7:00-9:00 p.m. where the funeral service will be held on Monday, October 25th at 11:00 a.m. Interment in Fairview Cemetery, Listowel.
Memorial donations to First Baptist Church, Listowel, or Christians for Israel, would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
