Obituary for Bill Brown
William ‘Bill’ Allan Brown of Listowel passed away at Listowel Memorial Hospital on Sunday, January 31, 2021, in his 67th year.
Father of Julie & Matt McCall of Brussels, and Alison & Zach Fisher of Fonthill, and grandfather of Sawyer and Davis.
Brother of Wayne & Lorna Brown of Wingham, and Sharon & Bob Jones of Orangeville, and brother-in-law of Jim Swan. Fondly remembered by many friends.
Predeceased by his sister Gwen Swan, and by his parents Walter & Hilda (Loughlean) Brown.
Bill's charismatic personality welcomed the opportunity to make new friends throughout his life. He shared a smile, a laugh and a story with everyone he crossed paths with.
Bill’s contribution to sport lead him to build countless meaningful relationships throughout his life. His mentorship to others will never be forgotten.
Bill touched the hearts of many and he will be truly missed by his family and friends.
Visitation will be held at the Eaton Funeral Home, Listowel, on Tuesday from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, visitors must schedule a time to attend on the funeral home website by selecting RSVP below, or by calling 519-291-4840. Everyone attending must wear a mask.
A private family funeral service will be held at Knox Presbyterian Church, Listowel on Wednesday, February 3, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Don McCallum officiating. Due to COVID restrictions, please do not attend. Instead, the service will be live-streamed and we ask you to watch safely from your home.
