My heart is so broken over the loss of Bill. Haven't communicated with him in quite some time; but, we were colleagues within the int'l. telecine/post production realm for countless years. Blessed to have known Bill and proud to have had him as a valued friend. He was , not only a brilliant engineer, he was also such a kind, caring and 'gentle' man. May his loved ones be surrounded by Peace, Love, Comfort, and Strength at this immensely difficult time. RIP my dear friend...

A wonderful and sincere service of remembrance today and a really diverse group of friends and family. A few of us reminisced about when we first knew Bill - we all remembered how and when. A good legacy.

We are so sorry to hear of Bill's passing. He had so little time in his cherished Abbotsford townhouse but at least had retired early enough to get some time there. Before that, he selflessly spearheaded the re-roofing of the six double-gabled buildings in the townhouse complex he lived in with us in Vancouver. He knew he was leaving, had already found his place in Abbotsford and was in the process of preparing his townhouse for sale. And yet, he accepted the gigantic task of steering this costly and important project for us. I was on that roofing committee and have said many times, and will say many more, that Bill did a spectacular job of keeping his eye on the goings-on, learning about whatever phase we were in and, therefore, knowing exactly what to watch out for, what to ask for. He could often be seen climbing up on roofs to photograph points of concern and progress. He was tireless, and we are eternally grateful for all he did. Needless to say, the roofing project was a great success. Thank you again, Bill. Rest in peace, Marilyn and Will, #8 Empress Court, Vancouver, BC
