Obituary for Doris Binning

Doris Mae (Cochrane) Binning of Listowel passed away at Huronlea, Brussels on Wednesday, October 21, 2020, in her 93rd year.

Loving wife of Beverley Binning for almost 69 years. Mother of Larry & Mary Ann Binning of Thamesford.

Grandmother of Nathan & Susan Binning of Uniondale, and Becky & Derek Boersma of Thamesford, and great-grandmother of Alexandra, Lucas, and Josephine Binning, and Ella and Sam Boersma.

Sister-in-law of June Cochrane of Listowel, and Marie Shean of Mitchell.

Predeceased by her brother Stuart Cochrane, sister Jean Miller and her husband Norman, and brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Jack & Shirley Binning, Ruth & Aaron Thompson, Doug Shean, Norman & Carol Binning, and Lenore & Tom White.

Doris was a wonderful Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother and a dear Auntie to many nephews and nieces.

She was a very private person, often preferring to express her love through thoughtful deeds and actions rather than words. She was an artist with a needle and thread and many of us have gifts she has given us to treasure her memory.

She never forgot her farm girls roots in Ethel and fondly reminisced and remembered all of her family and friends to the very end.

Her family would like to thank all of the staff at Huronlea, Brussels, for the exemplary care that she received during her stay there and especially the last few days.

A private funeral service will be held at Eaton Funeral Home, Listowel on Monday, October 26, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. Rev. Ralph Dwarika officiating.
