Francisca Vitoria (Diniz) Rego of Listowel passed away peacefully with her family at her side, at Listowel Memorial Hospital on Monday, January 9, 2023, in her 85th year.

Wife of the late Mateus Borges Rego (2002). Mother of Raquel Sousa (Alvaro) of Listowel, Mateus Rego (Melissa), and Frank Rego (Jennifer), all of Kitchener, and Ana Rego (Brad) of Listowel.

Vovó of Ashley, Tiffany, Eric, Delsie, Nicole, Lucas, and Drew, and great-vovó of Arianna, Alexis, Avery, Peyton, and Natalie.

Sister of Ana Diniz of Atwood, and sister-in-law of Maria Diniz of Delhi, Joao & Helena Rego of Azores, Maria & Anastasio Diniz of Mississauga, Valentino Toledo of Azores, and Ana Rego of Mississauga.

Predeceased by her daughter Ana-Fatima (1967), brother Frank Diniz, sister-in-law Maria Toledo, and brothers-in-law Joao Diniz and Jack Rego.

Visitation will be held at the Eaton Funeral Home, Listowel on Wednesday from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m., with prayers at 4:30 p.m.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church, Listowel, on Thursday, January 12, 2023 at 11:00 a.m.

Interment in Fairview Cemetery, Listowel.
