Helen Clarke ~ At Caressant Care, Listowel, on Thursday, April 2, 2020, Mrs. Helen Mae (Coulter) Clarke of Listowel, and formerly of Wroxeter, in her 95th year.

Beloved wife of the late John Clarke who predeceased her in 2000.

Dear mother of Rick & Pauline Clarke of Orillia, Nancy Thompson of London, and Randy & Terry Clarke of Sarnia.

Grandmother of Chantell, Michael, Paula, Andrew, Shane, and Alexis, and great-grandmother of 13.

Predeceased by her parents William and Clara (Willoughby) Coulter, brothers Glen Coulter and Adam Coulter, sisters Edith McIntosh, and Mabel Machan, daughter Connie Clarke, infant daughter Darlene, and granddaughter Sandee Subject.

Over the years Helen spent many of her summer weekends at the lake and enjoyed a host of friends who shared the same interests first in Port Elgin and then in Bayfield. She also enjoyed snowmobiling for many years with friends and eventually this was replaced by winters spent in Florida with those same friends. She was an avid Euchre and Lost Heir player and truly enjoyed a good game of cards. Her memory was as sharp as a tack and she had a great sense of humour right up to the end.

A family graveside service will be held on Thursday, April 9, 2020 with interment in Wroxeter Cemetery.

Memorial donations to a charity of one’s choice would be appreciated, and may be made through the Eaton Funeral Home, Listowel.

Our deepest sympathy to all of Helen's family. As a young boy, I lived up the street from the Clarke family, above the general store. One memory of Helen was when she had to take the garden hose to Randy and I as we were mud head to toe. She had a great sense of humor. I have many fond memories of Helen as my family spent time with the Clarkes not only in Wroxeter but also in Port Elgin. Our sincere condolences, Mark & Lori Dobson.

had not heard from her in awhile but thought about her often. She was a good lady. Cherish the memories.

So sorry to hear of Aunt Helen's passing. She was a truly kind and caring person. We remember the visits at the trailer in Port Elgin and all the family gatherings over the years. We last seen Helen about four years ago at a birthday gathering and had a nice chat. She was quite interested in how we were all doing and still seemed pretty sharp. She will be missed for sure. Thinking of you all at this sad time.

My sincere sympathies to the family of Helen Clarke. I only remember meeting her a couple of times when I was young, but always remember her as a kind and very caring lady. I only learned recently we shared the same birthday, too. May she rest in peace.
