Jean Elizabeth (Dinsmore) Ashley of Listowel, born in Fordwich, Ontario, on November 17, 1934.

Beloved wife of the late Calvin Hudson Ashley (1974). Jean enjoyed working at Smith’s Valu Mart, crocheting and making comforters and quilts and morning coffee at McDonald’s.

Cherished mother of Betty and Earle Boyer of Elmira, Karen and Jay Cullen of Listowel, Kathy and Eric Sage of Listowel, Albert and Julie Ashley of Waterloo, Floyd and Cathy Ashley of New Dundee, Kevin and Marilyn Ashley of Belmore, Rob Ashley and Cathy of Port Sydney, and Linda Oehring and Ivan Ament of Listowel.

Loving grandmother of Trevor (Amanda) Boyer, Brad Boyer, Kerri (Nick) Lingard, Calvin (Pam) Cullen, Becky (Todd) Stevens, Leanne (Mike) Powell, Michelle Sage, Derek (Lindsay) Sage, AJ Ashley (Fabian) , Tina (Kyle) Wheaton, Kelsey Ashley (Ronnie), Graeme Harvey (Caitlin) and Andrew Harvey (Brendan), Joshua Ashley, Catey (Joe) Fischer, Nathan (Tammy) Ashley, Caleb Ashley, CJ Ashley (Jenna Cook), Zak Ashley, Kimberly (Michael) Aurini, Holly Deveau, and Karla and Cory Oehring.

Great-great-grandmother of Francessca Sage and Benjamin Sage.

Missed by brother David (Jean) Dinsmore, sister Doris (Ron) Ashley, sisters-in-law Joyce Ashley, Mary Dyet, and Florence Addison, brothers-in-law Melvin (Gail) Ashley, and Donald (Carol) Ashley, and many nieces and nephews.

Predeceased by parents Ernest and Marian (Pritchard) Dinsmore, brothers and sister-in laws Robert and Margaret Dinsmore, and Jack and Betty Dinsmore , daughter-in-law Laurie Ashley, special friend Bill Gilmer, parents-in-law Albert and Margaret (Hudson) Ashley, brothers-in-law Peter Sunday, John Dyet, and Carl Addison.
