Predeceased by her parents Norman & Tillie (Brown) Walker, brother Bob Walker and his wife Pauline, and sister-in-law and brothers-in-law Howard Toner, Marion Myles, Jack Myles, and Hartley Kritzer.

Jean was born April 11, 1938 in Listowel. Jean and her twin sister Jeanette were married on their 21st birthdays. Jean and Bill farmed on the 6th of Wallace. It took Jean a year or two to adjust to farm life, however, she quickly came to love living on the farm where she and Bill raised their 5 children. They had 9 grandchildren, and more recently, Jean had 2 great-grandchildren.

Jean was a quiet woman who worked hard with Bill on the farm. She enjoyed going on road trips with family and friends, as well as spending time with her grandchildren, walking along the old railway trail with Bill and their dog Barney. She loved to watch the grandchildren play hockey, baseball and soccer, and enjoyed the occasional shot of rum!

In the past 3 years Jean was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s. The past few weeks were difficult for her. Her health quickly declined. With heavy hearts, she will be dearly missed by her family. However, it gives us great comfort knowing she will now be able to spend Bill`s birthday on Jan. 20th with him once again.

A Celebration of Jean’s life will be held at Knox Presbyterian Church, Listowel on Thursday, January 26, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. with a reception to follow. The service will be live streamed.
