Obituary for Jerry Coombs
Gerald Ambrose ‘Jerry’ Coombs of Listowel passed away suddenly on Friday, May 27, 2022, at the age of 53 years.
Husband of Tina (Lahey) Coombs, and father of Melissa Coombs & Nick Lucifero of Stouffville, ON, and Marshal & Katie Coombs of Kitchener, ON. Son of Myrtle (St. George) Coombs of Heart's Desire, NL, and the late Am Coombs, and brother of Sylvia & Mark Martis of Barrie, ON. Son-in-law of Ruth (Clark) Lahey of Heart's Desire, NL, and the late George Lahey, and brother-in-law of Sueanne & Jim Oates, and Cindy & Lee Coates, all of Mount Pearl, NL. Uncle of Jessica Newhook, Jacob Martis, Keaton Oates, Mckenzie Oates, and Hailey Coates.
Jerry was an avid golfer and loved spending time with family and friends.
Visitation will be held at Sacred Heart Mortuary Chapel, Heart’s Desire, on Thursday, June 2nd from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church, Heart’s Desire, NL on Friday, June 3rd at 11:00 a.m. Interment in Sacred Heart Cemetery.
A Celebration of Jerry’s Life will be held at the Listowel Golf Club on Saturday, June 18, 2022 from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. with Words of Remembrance at 2:00 p.m.
Memorial donations to Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated, and may be made through the Eaton Funeral Home, Listowel.
