Ashton Bahadur

Ruthven Joseph Bahadoor was born to Dora and Basdeo Bahadoor on September 27, 1947 at Garth road Trinidad, he is survived by siblings Bernadine, Ruben, Oswald, Ashton and Annette. His mother Dora Marie Jagroop was his life. At a tender age she used to take to the Romantic Catholic Church in San Fernando where he was baptised. It was through her excellent relationship with the Rajack family of Garth Road that he received an apprenticeship at the Trinidad and Tobago Electricity Commission in the capital city of Port of Spain. At the youthful age of 15. Joseph was ready to live and train in a strange place because he was annointed by his mother, educated at the Brothers Presbyterian school, raised by the village of Brothers/Garth and blessed by his father's devotion at the Om Kar Hindu Temple at Garth road. He was well known for his voice impersonations of school inspecter Bramadath, prime minister Eric Williams, calypsonian Mighty Sparrow and his own grandfather Bahadoor Ablack. During his time in PoS he met Zeena. They have 2 children. Zennifer and Richard. Changes were coming and Joseph moved his family to Canada in 1969 where he lived and worked. By a strange twist of fate this mysteriously romantic brother of mine met Connie Elizabeth Manning of Listowel. They have 3 children. Melissa, Joey and Brittany. His generosity reflects his softheartedness and all around him can bear that testimony. In particular I express my sincerest gratitude to Elizabeth Manning and Joseph Bahadoor for their hospitality in 1980-82 to support me through my studies in Edmonton. In some ways i feel like Joseph and Ashton share similarities. We may look alike but what is more striking is that we never really measured up to the expectations of our mother's love as she had very high standards. He really tried. He is now in the spirit world and my prayers are with him . I pray that the Lord Jesus Christ will cover Joe with His divine grace into all eternity. to Connie Manning and her family I say thank you for seeing him through his final days and may the good Lord bless you all.
