Dear Bob, Paul and Sherry Lee & Family,
Our deepest sympathy to all of you with the passing of your much loved Mom. Laura was such a dear friend of our mom and I know they spent a lot of time together and enjoyed each other’s company over the many years. She was kind and gracious and will be missed by you all. Sincerely, Colleen and Brian Crossland, Nanaimo, BC

How wonderful to hear that Laura was in such good shape and spirits for substantially all of her 100 years. She deserved that. She and I worked together on Trinity United's collections (along with Myrtle Carson) for many years, and her accuracy - and good humour - was well appreciated. My condolences and my family and I send our best to all of you.

As a young man growing up in my fathers hardware store I was impressed by Laura ’s gentleness and beautiful spirit. She worked with my father for a long time in Zilliax Hardware and was valued by my father Herb a great deal. My Mother considered Shorty Johns a friend and always spoke very highly of them both. My sincere condolences to the family and my lateness as I only found out now of her passing. My wife Margaret and I attended Trinity United as newly weds before I was transferred to Stratford many years ago.Blessings to you all. Sincerely George &Margaret(Meg) Zilliax.
