Obituary for Marion Stewart
Marion Elizabeth (Miller) Stewart, formerly of Owen Sound, passed away at Huronlea, Brussels, on Wednesday, January 19, 2022, in her 102nd year.
Wife of the late Richard Stewart (1998).
Mother of the late Nancy McIntosh (2009), and her husband Dan (2005).
Much loved grandmother of Jodie & Brian MacLennan, Jennifer & Robert Brownell, Richard & Valerie McIntosh, and Mark McIntosh & the late Jennifer Schyff, all of Listowel. Adored great-grandmother of Emma, Grace, Abbey, Owen, Sam, Chantel, Alyssa, Emily, Ella, and Hannah.
Born in Flesherton, Ontario on March 21, 1920 Marion was the only child of William H. & Ella Jane Miller. During Marion’s 50 years in Owen Sound, she was an active member of the Division United Church and a member of UCW Unit #3. Good years were spent working at Taylor’s Jewelry, and after retirement she was a 15 year volunteer at the hospital gift shop. In 2008 she moved to Caressant Care Retirement Home in Listowel.
A private family funeral service will be held at the Eaton Funeral Home, Listowel, on Friday, January 28, 2022. Interment in Flesherton Cemetery.
Memorial donations to Listowel Memorial Hospital Foundation or Georgian Shores United Church, Owen Sound would be appreciated.
