Obituary for Marnie Youse
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our dear mother, Marjory Joyce “Marnie” (Grosz) Youse, at Huronlea, Brussels, on Monday, June 7, 2021, at the age of 87.
Marnie was predeceased by her husband Fred Youse (2002), mother Marie Grosz (1991), and parent-in-law Tom & Edith Youse.
She was the loving mother of Brenda Youse, and Terry & Glen Bewick, all of Listowel. Loving grandmother to Christopher & Meghan Town, Brandon Town & Stacey Krumholtz, Matthew & Joelle Town, Nicholas & Jenna Bewick, and Mitchell & Erin Bewick, and great-grandma to Cohen and Davis Town , Leo Frederick Town (who finally arrived the day after Marnie departed, and like her, on his own terms), Grayson and Xander Bewick, and Lucy Bewick.
Marnie graduated from the Brantford General Hospital School of Nursing in 1955. She retired on her 60th birthday from a lifelong career of Nursing, which included 32 years at Listowel Memorial Hospital.
She lived life to the fullest. She enjoyed her time at their cottage at Lurgan Beach, hours on the golf course, trips to the casino, coffee club, and wine parties with the girls, as well as countless family get-togethers. The door at her home was always open.
Marnie resided at Huronlea, Brussels, for the last 9 years. Her family is grateful for the amazing care she was given during this time.
A private funeral service will be held at Eaton Funeral Home, Listowel on Monday, June 14, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. The service will be live-streamed and we ask you to watch safely from your home.
