My condolences to my Pal Peter and to the entire Karges Family.
I have great memories of visiting the Karges Cottage on Pine River at Point Clark.
And sleeping over on the boat that Olly built.
It was an honour to know Mr and Mrs Karges and to call Peter my good friend.

We are sorry to hear of the passing of my last uncle. I remember being in awe of him back in the days of the Pine River cottage when he built his own boat to tour the Rideau Canel. He was such a kind man who never had an unkind word for anyone. I will never forget him. My condolences to Aunt Elsie, Donald, Alan and Peter. Lorne & Deb

My sincere condolences are extended to Oliver’s family. A witty, quiet and gentle man. He enjoyed “sliding” out to the Lorne Willits Memorial piano after the Wednesday morning coffee hour at Trinity United to share his musical talent. Al and I shared many Robbie Burns dinner and dance at the Listowel Legion and progressive dinners along with other Trinity United church members. Oliver and Elsie have been an exemplary couple. I will always have great memories of my Uncle. He was always jovial and had a great sense of humour. Whether it was a family function or at the fantastic cottage that was built on Pine River, it was always fun. My dad used to look forward to the "guys" weekend either on Oliver's boat or Jack's cottage. I still have the cedar chest he built for me back in the 1980's. My condolences to Don, Peter, Al and their families...Oliver was only second to my dad as a role model. Rest in Piece, Uncle Oliver...
