Thank-you Irene for the wonderful Eulogy at your Dad’s funeral. I have met him only occasionally but do distinctly remember him. Allow me one story. As a family you spent your summer holidays in the Pineries near Grand Bend in the late 60’s, and the whole family would worship with us in the Forest CRC on Sunday morning. Occasionally your dad would lead us in worship. The Centennial year (1967) stands out. The broader Christian community in Forest invited us to celebrate Centennial with them. We were not in the mood. Besides, it would interfere with our second service in the afternoon. We did not escape it. Your Dad would lead us in one of the following Sunday mornings in the morning service, reflecting on 100 years of the Dominion of Canada, and Expo ’67; in the light of Psalm 8 and part of Hebrews Chapter 2. Amazing!! Some pastors you never forget, and your dad was one of them! We thank the Lord for his gifts and talents. Both your parents had a gift of being an inspiration in our greater Christian community; your Dad as a Pastor and your Mom (Lynn Miller in the Christian Courier). We thank the Lord for them. It is our prayer that you experience God’s loving care through ways and means of people around you, and find comfort in the Lord’s promises.

With Love, Evert and Klaziena Wassink

Thank you so much for your kind words about our Dad and for the story you told - wow, you have a good memory! But sometimes a sermon or a statement in it can stay with us for a long time. We praise God for our parents and for how the Lord used them in his kingdom. Thank you so much for your words of condolence and for living along with us. - Irene Geleynse

Dear family of Rev. Los: I wish to express my condolences on the passing of your dear father. I remember him fondly as the pastor of our church in Jarvis, ON. He was a compassionate and caring pastor and greatly loved here. He very much influenced my decision to profess my faith in Jesus during his time here and I have good memories of him and his family.
May God comfort and bless you all as you will miss him dearly.

Thanks so much for your condolences and your memories of our Dad, Jeanette! It means a lot to hear from people how they remember Dad and/or how he had some kind of impact on their life. He was very special to us and we will really miss him, but we know he is with the Lord whom he loved and served and longed to see. Thanks again. - Irene Geleynse

Rev Los was the pastor at Cephas when I started attending Trent University in Peterborough.
Rev Los was gave me guidance through my formative years at the Cephas.
He also officiated when my Helen and I were married in 1978.
To all of his children and descendants Helen and I extend our deepest condolences with the passing of Rev Los.
His picture hangs in the Consistory room at Cephas and it will remind me of a great caring and loving Christian.
We praise GOD for his life and we will remember Rev Los forever.

Deepest sympathy
