Obituary for Stuart Brodrecht

Stuart Lorne Clarence Brodrecht of Listowel, and formerly of Molesworth, passed away at suddenly at his home on Sunday, April 9, 2023, in his 63rd year.

Husband of Mary Anne (Oesch) Brodrecht.

Father of Amanda Lundrigan and Jeff of Stratford, Travis Brodrecht of Listowel, and Chris and Rebecca Brodrecht of Ayton, and grandfather of Koni and Ada.

Brother of Gerald Brodrecht of Alberta, Ross and Cathy Brodrecht of Tavistock, and Dianne and Geoff Allen of West Lorne, and brother-in-law of Nancy Brodrecht, Nancy and David Taves, and Brian Oesch. Remembered also by his many nieces and nephews.

Predeceased by his parents Lorne and Alice (Wiecker) Brodrecht, parents-in-law Clayton and Alberta (Holtzworth) Oesch, brother Glen, sisters-in-law Marlene Brodrecht and Brenda Venturino, and by his brother-in-law Robert Oesch.

Stu was born November 14, 1960 in Stratford General Hospital and grew up on the family farm outside of New Hamburg. He married his love, Mary Anne on October 27, 1984 and a few years later they settled in Molesworth. Stu worked at Hendrickson Spring in Stratford for 30 years.

In his younger years he enjoyed riding his motorcycle and going on fishing trips. In more recent years he loved spending weekends with his grandchildren and going for long car rides throughout Ontario with his co-passenger, Mary Anne.

A Celebration of Stu’s life will be held at Parkview Gardens (Listowel Legion) on Sunday, April 16, 2023 from 1:00 until 3:00 p.m., with remembrances shared at 1:30 p.m.

Interment in Molesworth Cemetery.
