Thelma Hutton ~ At Listowel Memorial Hospital on Tuesday, October 1, 2019, Mrs. Thelma Irene (Gamble) Hutton of Listowel, in her 93rd year.
Loving wife of the late Bill Hutton (1995).
Mother of Judy & John Gates of Kincardine, Don & Nancy Hutton of Listowel.
Grandmother of Shawn Gates & Amy Jacina, Cory & Tammy Hutton, and Stacey & Brandon Williams, and great-grandmother of Ryleigh, Brinley, Sadie, Wesley, and Farrah.
Sister-in-law of Audrey Gamble of Cambridge, Pat Gamble of Teeswater, Phyllis Gamble, and Mildred Gray, both of Listowel.
Predeceased by her parents Lorne and Una (Mayburry) Gamble, brothers Jack, Bill, and Alvin, and sisters Dorothy Gray, and Lois Gamble.
Thelma was born in Mornington Township on December 8, 1926. She was the eldest of 6 children. Thelma married Bill Hutton on November 22, 1947. They had 2 children, Judy and Don. In 1965 they purchased a dairy farm in Wallace Twp. which they farmed together until moving to Listowel in 1985. Thelma was a member of Knox Presbyterian Church, Listowel, and the Wallace WMS. She enjoyed quilting, bowling, playing bingo and camping with family and friends, but most of all she enjoyed her time spent with her family.
Visitation will be held at the Eaton Funeral Home, Listowel, on Thursday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Friday, October 4th at 2:00 p.m., with visitation one hour prior. Rev. Don McCallum officiating.
Interment in Fairview Cemetery, Listowel.
Memorial donations to Knox Presbyterian Church, Listowel, or Listowel Memorial Hospital Foundation, would be appreciated.
