At Listowel Memorial Hospital on Sunday, December 4, 2005, Mr. Kenneth Johnston Elliott of R.R. #3, Listowel, in his 79th year. Brother of Clifford and Maxine Elliott of Mississauga, Shirley and Jack Trueman of Waterloo, Jim and Axie Elliott of Hamilton, and Dorothy Konings of Listowel. Uncle of Mark and Darlene Elliott of Whitby, Douglas and Louise Konings of Stratford, Janice and Dr. Jim Elliott of London, Dr. Susan Elliott-Israelson and David Israelson of Toronto, Anne Elliott-Turner and Richard Turner of Toronto, Debbie and Kevin Pruden of Medicine Hat, Alberta, and Darlene and Jim Zavitz, and Dianne Konings, all of London. Also survived by 3 great-nephews, 14 great-nieces, his special friends, Dina Konings of Kitchener and Myrtle Cutting of Orangeville, and his aunt Elizabeth Johnston of Palmerston. Predeceased by his parents William and Viola (Johnston) Elliott and by his brother-in-law Jim Konings.
Ken was a retired from Spinrite where he worked for 50 years. He enjoyed playing the fiddle, and was a member of the Loyal Orange Lodge for over 50 years.
Visitation will be held at the Robert Trench Funeral Home, Listowel on Tuesday, 2:00-4:00 and 7:00-9:00 p.m. with a Loyal Orange Lodge memorail service at 6:45 p.m. Funeral service will be held at Trinity United Church, Listowel on Wednesday, December 7th at 2:00 p.m. Reverend Steven Cox officiating. Interment in Fairview Cemetery, Listowel. Memorial donations to Heart & Stroke Foundation, or Canadian Diabetes Association would be appreciated.
