Neil and Marie Mitchell

Dear Bert, We are so very sorry for your loss. It is unbelievable that she is gone. Although I have known Grace about as long as I've known anyone, from Brandon days forward, it is as my first real connection to Brussels and Cranbrook that Grace will always stand out in my memory. Little did I know when we would visit the farm in the summers in the early '80's that this beautiful area would one day be my home! As you know, at different times you and Grace have provided a "home away from home" for me. Whether that was hosting us at the farm so I could start school just before we moved to Seaforth or staying in your West Montrose home when I was practice teaching, the love and welcome I felt were always just as genuine. Thank you for always including us in your family. Grace has always been able to calm people with her understanding and cheer people with laughter. As you and your family grieve, I hope you will find comfort in memories, in each other, and also in those who surround you; find those who, like Grace, can put things into perspective, lend calm and also spark laughter when you need it. Take good care. With love, Marie and Neil, Emily, Sean, Sarah and Claire
