Joanne Kraemer Hickox

Dear Jamie, I was just sitting here watching a documentary film called Young @ Heart. A splendid little film about a group of seniors who sang rock and roll. I spent all night remembering your dad and his humming and whistling. I got to spend some time with Ding on one of my visits this past year. He still had his great smile that I remember so clearly from high school. Jamie, I loved your dad. He was such a kind and gentle spirit, but with just enough vinegar to make him stand out as a character. I'm sorry Jamie. I've lost many seniors that I have loved, but not my daddy. I can't imagine the pain your family must be feeling with both of your parents now gone. My prayer is that your pain is short and that the peace that passes all understanding will come quickly to heal that broken place in your hearts. No one will ever replace Ding. He was a one of a kind. Love to you and yours! Joanne PS Thanks for being so kind to my mother, she truly enjoyed her time with you.
