Message: Jean & I enjoyed many conversations while she was a resident at the Listowel Hospital. Her wit was treasured. Some of us recall her saying, "I love all horses & some people." Don't know who it was she didn't like. Jesus loved her very much. Sorry I had to miss her funeral.

Message: So sorry to hear of Aunt Jean passing. I will miss aunt Jean for sure. For my whole adult life she wrote me nice letters letting me know the family news and kept in touch with me in the West. I have fond memories of her and Earl on the farm in Cranbrook. Can still see her in that county kitchen 50 years ago. She was a great sister to my Mom Lois and to aunt Glenna and uncle Ralph too. I'm sure to Willis too, so long ago before the war. She was made of the right stuff and one tough lady! Had that unmistakable country accent. I'll always remember her voice. She was ready to go...93. Stan and Iva sure made us a great Machan family!
