At Caressant Care, Listowel on Sunday, August 28, 2005, Mr. Merritt Maxwell Ellison of Listowel, in his 87th year. Husband of the late Edna (Hartung) Ellison. Dear father of Ivan and Carolyn Ellison of Dunnville, Charlotte and Ken Bachert of R.R. 2, Burgessville, and Elmer and Lucille Merritt of R.R. 2, Moorefield. Brother-in-law of Lillian Ellison of Kitchener and Florence Ellison of Port Colborne. Also survived by eight grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. Predeceased by his sister Sarah Riddolls and his brothers Claran, Irvine, Elwood and Lavalle Ellison.
Visitation will be held at the Robert Trench Funeral Home, Listowel on Tuesday, 2:00-4:00 and 7:00-9:00 p.m. Funeral service will be held at Listowel Mennonite Church on Wednesday, August 31st at 11:00 a.m. Reverend Fred Lichti officiating. Interment in Fairview Cemetery, Listowel. Memorial donations to Heart & Stroke Foundation or Mennonite Central Committee would be appreciated.
