Thank you
Thank you Velma for helping me to change the trajectory of my life. You taught me many things in the time I stayed with your family. You taught me how to quickly and easily skin a peach when canning, you taught me that with a simple hour of homework every day that school could be really easy and most of all you taught me that I was a good kid who had just made some bad choices. I especially appreciated you being understanding when I snuck out the window to go to a street dance because I had a crush on a boy that I thought might be there! You made me feel welcome and a part of your family and you helped me to build a bridge back to my own family. Thank you for being such a generous spirit who gave so much of yourself through foster care to so many people.
