Obituary

Gezina "Jean" Steckly ~ At Hanover District Hospital on Friday, April 10, 2020, Mrs. Jean Steckly, formerly of Listowel, in her 87th year.
Dedicated wife of the late Solomon Steckly. Loving mother of Helen Steckly & Joe Soares of Flesherton, Dan Steckly & Wendy Brennan of Sudbury, and Lisa Steckly & David Walton of Huntsville, and grandmother of Sean McConville of Huntsville, and Jason McConville of Oakville. Sister of Pat Simmons, Harko & Geppe Wassing, Rick Wassing, and Steve & Elaine Wassing.
Predeceased by her sisters Trijin Weerd, Marcia Vanderveen, and Henny Hoekstra, and brothers John, Mans, Dirk, and Arnold Wassing.
Private family arrangements have been entrusted to the Eaton Funeral Home, Listowel. Memorial donations to Canadian Diabetes Association or the Listowel Food Bank (through the Listowel Salvation Army Community & Family Services) would be appreciated.

Jean, Larry and I enjoyed becoming friends with you and Pat and your spouses at Mission Gardens, Texas. We shall always remember you as friendly, saying like it is. May God wrap his love around you and your family. You will always live in their hearts. To the family, Jean was a very special person. We send our prayers for all of you. Aunt Jean you will be missed by many. I will treasure our times together. You always made your presence known and shot from the hip lol. I loved that about you! Say hello to my Dad and brothers. Your time on earth is over but your soul lives on in our hearts.
