Great conversationalist on many topics hockey, politics, farming. I enjoyed always listening to Uncle Lorne and mom reminese about grandpa & grandma Vollmer, life when they were young, relatives and friends. They spoke about these times with such memories. I know the Vollmer reunion will not be the same for me and always looked forward to getting caught up with the news. Uncle Lorne at a Vollmer reunion many many years ago made sure we teenagers were up and dancing when at that time there was a live band. He would say one two that side then one on the other side...landed on his foot most times and he would never care when apology was expressed. I always found his stories most interesting and loved just to chat with him. I will miss his up beat phone calls and jokes. I know he is with Mike, grandpa & grandma,Jeannie and all our relatives talking and telling more wonderful stories. RIP I will miss you
