Great conversationalist on many topics hockey, politics, farming. I enjoyed always listening to Uncle Lorne and mom reminese about grandpa & grandma Vollmer, life when they were young, relatives and friends. They spoke about these times with such memories....

A couple times Uncle Lorne came along on our Fishing trips. A few things that I will always remember were the non stop stories from morning till night every day. On several trips we were bothered by wild animals. Well that never happened when he was along....
